Security and trustlessness form the foundation of IFÁ Labs. Every design decision prioritizes decentralization, transparency, and verifiability to ensure that price feeds remain accurate and resistant to manipulation, even in adversarial conditions.

Core Principles

  1. Trustless Operation Protocols interact directly with onchain contracts. No centralized offchain component is required to read prices, eliminating single points of trust or failure.

  2. Decentralized Data Aggregation Prices are sourced from multiple independent providers (CEXs, DEXs, forex feeds). Data is aggregated offchain by decentralized relayers using robust consensus mechanisms.

  3. Manipulation Resistance

    • Outlier detection and removal

    • Weighted median/average calculations

    • Deviation thresholds tailored for stablecoin peg behavior

  4. Transparent Updates Every price push is recorded onchain with timestamps and can be verified by anyone. Relayers sign submissions, enabling accountability.

Security Measures

  • Professional Audits: All price oracle contracts have been thoroughly audited by AdForensics, a reputable third-party security firm. No critical vulnerabilities were found, and reports are available upon request.

  • Minimal Attack Surface: Simple, battle-tested contract design focused solely on price storage and retrieval.

  • No Admin Keys: Once deployed, contracts are immutable with no centralized upgrade or pause functionality.

  • Economic Incentives: Relayers are rewarded for timely, accurate updates (details in governance roadmap).
